I was in a class at work, not where I am now, but a call centre, and we had to learn how to identify all the products from the product codes. more>>So I wrote this little script and just added data. I shared it with the rest of the class and we all did very well on the test. In fact we did too well. The instructor thought he knew how we cheated, until we shared that there was this tool on my web site. He shared it with the other classes and their scores improved, too.
I later changed the data and, boom, I am learning constellations. If you know right ascension and declination, these flash cards will be quite easy. If don't know a right ascension from an hour angle, you soon will.
The screen displays the name of a star. Guess the name of the constellation. If you are not sure, click on Show Hint. Four constellations will display. Click on the right one. To gain full benefit, type the name of the constellation in the box and click on Show Answer. There is no score kept, no winners, no losers.
